The worst insecurity you can ever face is not knowing where you next meal will come from or when it will. Several families in Kenya live hand to mouth, fighting to get the little scraps of food they can to survive the day or week.
The magnitude and frequency of disasters triggered by factors such as climate change, have compromised many communities’ physical, social and economic security. The Kenya Red Cross is working with these communities, the government and other partners to establish early warning systems to facilitate timely response, formulate appropriate climate adoptive methods and empower farmers with updated skills, seeds, farm inputs and equipment.
Our aim is to reduce the number of people receiving long-term food aid, reduce the severity of malnutrition faced by the Kenyan children and enhance income generation.
Help make a permanent difference and give millions of people a chance to eat, breath and see another day.
