In 2025, the Kenya Red Cross Society marks 60 years of service to communities across Kenya. As part of the celebrations, the Central Region invites you to participate in a Mt. Kenya expedition, symbolizing resilience, unity, and our continued commitment to humanitarian work.

The Climb

The Mt. Kenya expedition via the Sirimon Route offers a meaningful challenge for individuals, partners, and organizations looking to support a cause while engaging in a professionally organized climb.

Participation Fees

Residents: KES 39,900

Non-Residents: USD 700

What is Included

Guided preparation hikes (training plan, personal coaching)
Transport from Nairobi to all events
Applicable park entry fees
Professional guides and paramedics
Full-board accommodation (Mt. Kenya climb – tented, shared)
Meals during the Mt. Kenya expedition (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner)
Support crew, including cooks and porters

Does NOT include

Hiking gear, clothes, porter’s backpack and other personal effects. We do not offer gear for hire, but some outlets around Nairobi do so, the team can also assist to mobilize for gears.
Kenya: Insurance, air evacuation, and medical services if incurred. An air evacuation cover which goes for Kes 3,900, and we are happy to facilitate it for you at your request.
Anything else not mentioned in the ‘Subscription Includes’ list.
Supplemental terms and conditions will be provided at the time of execution of the contract.
