Debbie Busler has been a social worker for more than 20 years, primarily working in child protection and immigration.  She has worked in local authorities in the USA and UK, leading teams addressing child protection and supporting unaccompanied minors and care leavers.

She moved to the voluntary sector 11 years ago and has had several roles with the British Red Cross, including Psychosocial Support Team volunteer (for emergency international deployments), Head of Refugee Support, and now Head of Safeguarding.  She has also served as an international delegate with the International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent Societies.  Outside of work, she enjoys running, travelling and spending time with her family.
